開春後,大家期盼已久的全員研習終於到來,回顧前兩次研習,老師在覺心研習中,精彩地設計了動態遊戲研習,這是老師獨家為我們設計的,在外頭坊間絕無僅有,在動態觀察實作中,幫助我們赫然看懂自己平常的心,原來一直處在混亂狀態,(難怪心中對事物的認知印象與實際真相,相距如此巨大,以致人際或是處事上,頻出問題),進而運用上老師教過的調心的方法。

In the beginning of spring, the much-anticipated study for the members was finally coming!  In retrospect, the last two dynamic studies which were exclusively designed for students by Teacher Susan Duan were one and only among studies of other places.  In the process of dynamic observation and practice, all the students suddenly realized that our hearts in daily life are constantly in a state of chaos---no wonder there always were huge gaps between our impressions of things in mind and the reality.  And such gaps made trouble to our interpersonal relationship or daily affairs.  During the study, students also practiced adjusting mind with useful methods the Teacher taught us.

這次全員研習,是延續自去年底的"對治印象與實際的落差",研習一始,老師關心同學們這段期間運用觀心與調心方法於生活中的實作體會,同學踴躍欣喜地分享,因為之前研習帶給自己的震撼,這段期間依著老師給予的回家功課,於生活中實踐所學的體會與滿滿收穫---「雖然工作十分忙碌,但自己的心卻能不隨外境團團轉,感覺跟同事間的溝通順暢了許多。」、「當自己的心安穩下來之後,很神奇的!竟能細微的感受到周遭人的情緒磁場,卻仍能保持自己心境的平穩。」老師再次應機教導,佛法並非被束之高閣的深奧理論,而是能實用於生活的智慧;老師之所以給予同學們回家功課,是為了藉此讓同學們將所學用上,因為唯有真正實踐佛法於生活中,才能感受到佛法所帶來的利己利人的美好。

This study was continuation from the study of the end of last year---”Overcome The Gap Between Impression Of Things In Mind And Reality”. In the beginning of the study, the Teacher asked about what students had experienced by practicing the methods to observe and adjust our own heart in daily life during the period from last class through now.  All shared their own discoveries enthusiastically---“Although I am very busy in working, my heart can be free from being interrupted by surroundings and established a rapport with people at work.”, “When my heart became stable and calm, it was amazing!  I could sense surrounding people’s magnetic field of emotions, and my mind still be able to stay calm.”  Our Teacher taught again that Dharma is not profound theory to be shelved, but wisdom which is useful be applied to life.  Only by practicing Dharma in life can you feel how the Dharma benefits others and yourself.  So making students use what they have learned, it is why the Teacher gave homework to students.

此外,同學們也驚訝於即使自己曾經在觀察對象的過程中,有過強烈的感官震撼,但竟在時間的消逝下,記憶隨之變淡,體會到我們所能把握的只有每個當下;也有同學困擾於自己時而用心,時而難以用心,請問老師「該怎麼辦?」老師為學生解惑,教導同學們先看懂自己難以念念相續,所以應該謙虛,因為唯有歸零、倒空,才能真正學習並從中收穫。

Moreover, some students were also surprised that even if they once had strong sensory feelings during the process of observing the objects, they still gradually lost those memories over time, it told that “the only thing we have is---here, now, this moment.” Some students suffered from alternating between able to focus the wandering mind and hard to do so; therefore, they asked the Teacher how to deal with this problem.  The Teacher taught that ---“Knowing your own difficulties was the first step, and because of it, you should be modest. Only when you empty your mind and reset it to zero can you really learn and absorb the nutrients from everything you go through.”

研習中休息,同學悄悄地端出精心準備的生日蛋糕,「祝你生日快樂~祝你生日快樂~~」聲聲祝福,祝福二月壽星生日快樂!

During the break time, the carefully prepared birthday cake was held out, all sang for the student whose birthday was in February~ “Happy birthday to you~Happy birthday to you~~~”

研習的後半段,老師為使學生們能有進一步思惟咀嚼的資糧,於同學撰寫的研習後心得上,應著每位同學不同的根機、情況,一一指導,並且讓同學們在研習唸出來,讓大家共同學習。有同學分享,第一次不仰賴任何物質享受,只是靜靜的欣賞光影舞蹈、蓮花水色,便感受到了內心的平靜歡喜;有同學則分享,今年年節期間,回到老家,同樣的鋁門上,卻體會出不同的況味,以前覺得它老老舊舊、做工並不完美,但這次卻深刻的感受到了看似不完美的表相背後,蘊藏的是父母再怎麼辛苦也要給子女一個遮風避雨的家的愛,看著那一扇門,只有無盡的感恩。感動久久迴盪於同學的心頭,也更明白了老師所教導的「心佛與眾生,是三無差別」,當我們心念清淨,所見處處皆是愛。

In the last half of the study, in order to enable students to have further resources to think and reflect, our Teacher wrote guidance and corrections in every student’s homework, and then everyone read aloud their homework and words from the Teacher to the others so that all could learn.  There is one student who shared that for the first time she didn’t need to rely on any material entertainment to get sense of satisfaction; instead, just quietly enjoying the beauty of small water lotus planted in front of the house brought inner peace and joy.  One student shared that “During the Chinese New Year Festival, I went back to my native place and saw the same aluminum door of my room which I used to think it old and rustic, but this time, totally different feeling I felt was there hid my parents’ silent but great and unique love behind the ordinary door---”No matter how hard, we have to give the children a castle from wind and rain.” Looking at that door, there was endless gratefulness from the bottom of my heart.”  Hearing these sharing, everyone was deeply touched and realized what the our Teacher taught---”Different as people are, all have the Buddha-nature.”  The purer mind you have, the more love you felt.

感恩老師特地設計的研習內容,教導並啟發我們思惟,同學們深深震撼於各種外相所真實反映的自心心境,並找到了生活中諸多煩惱的根源及對治的方法,莫不期盼下次的系列動態研習早日到來,能有更進一步的體悟,也發心在生活中運用老師所教,讓自己的身心愉悅自在,從煩惱中解脫。

Thank our teacher for specially designing dynamic studies to teach and help us find the truth of our mind. All students were deeply shocked in a variety of outer affairs which really reflected the situation of our mind, but were happy at finally finding the root causes of life’s constant chaos and the ways to retreat them. Everyone expected that the next study would come soon to have further and more understandings.  The students also make up their mind to practice what the Teacher taught to relieve themselves from troubles and pain and be joyful.
