The Association of Pure Buddhist's Predecessor---The "Pure Classroom",

A Dharma Learning Group

「清淨教室」學佛團體的宗旨，就是將修心最究竟的方法---佛法(佛陀，覺悟者；佛法，簡單說就是覺悟、明白的方法)，以淺顯方式，結合潛意識覺知自心的方法，使學習者得以觀照自心深層的真相，調伏煩惱、增長智慧、利己利他。使佛法經論不僅流於高深理論，而是得以運用於日常生活，讓我們活得自在無礙，並能關懷他人。真正達到佛法在世間、不離世間覺。

The objective of the "Pure Classroom" is to combine the ultimate method of cultivating our mind---the Buddha Dharma (the Buddha is the fully enlightened being; in brief, the Buddha Dharma is the method of enlightening and understanding) with the methods which help us be aware of our mind through the subconscious mind in a simple way. It aims to make learners reflect on the truth of their own mind to tame vexation, increase wisdom and benefit both ourselves and others, and make the Dharma and the Sutras are not only profound theories but also what we can practice in our daily life to enable us live freely and care for others. Hope to really achieve the goal--- “The Buddha Dharma exists for the world, apart from this world, there is no enlightenment.”

也為了讓學生們能夠在歷事練心的過程中，真正學習入心，而非只流於頭腦理論的填鴨，所以自2014年開始，除了覺心研習，我們也舉辦了帶著親友一起踏青淨地的環保活動等等。2016年，我們團體開始有成員加入其他志工組織，計畫讓全體成員乃至親友們，未來能以不同形式，一起走出安逸的小圈圈，將學佛的力量匯聚實踐，超越種族國界地去關懷幫助需要的人。

Also, since 2014, to enable the students to learn the Dharma into the mind in the process of cultivating the mind through undergoing things rather than only be absorbed in spoon-feeding of theories, in addition to Mind-Awareness Studies, we also hold some activities, including environmental activities which assembled our relatives and friends to go outing for land cleansing. In 2016, there are members in our group began to join other volunteer organization and planned to make all of our members even our relatives and friends step out of comfort zone together in different forms in the future. And we can gather and practice the strength of learning the Dharma to care for and help people in need beyond ethnic boundaries and national borders.

「清淨教室」學佛團體，來自歐蘭朵潛意識諮詢室，如今的發展，是我當初一開始從未想過的(因為我是個比較習慣靜靜默默做就好的人)，如果要說緣起，從我做潛意識諮詢的一開始，就已經是緣起了：願能協助人們撥開層層煩惱迷霧、發現他們自己的真心，因為真心會自然生出良善與智慧，帶給人們真正的自在、自信及安樂。

The Dharma Learning group, "Pure Classroom", derives from the ”Orlando Consultation of the Subconscious Mind”. The group’s development nowadays, I had never thought of at the beginning (because I was more accustomed to accomplish things quietly). Saying about the origin, when I began to provide consultation of the subconscious mind at first, it was the origin: I hoped to help people clear away layers of vexation fog and find their true heart. The true heart will naturally generate goodness and wisdom, and it will bring the real freedom, confidence and happiness to people.

‧「清淨教室」學佛團體的特色：

佛法的教授在台灣百花齊放，我自身的佛法學習，實無法望祖師大德之項背，但也不曾忘懷自三寶所受，願學習行持，永不疲厭。

‧   The features of the ”Pure Classroom" Dharma learning group:   

The teachings of the Buddha Dharma in Taiwan are like hundreds of flowers in bloom. Although my own Dharma study is impossible to approach patriarchs' greatness, I have never forgotten what I have gotten from the Buddha, the Dharma and the Sangha, I vow to learn and practice what I learned without tire forever.   

因本人自身實修經歷，及十多年協助個案探究處理潛意識問題真相，深瞭多數人在不清楚自心真正的欲望與恐懼之前，即使聽聞佛法，也難與自心生活接軌運用，以致戒定慧條條在口上，但貪瞋癡念念在現行，因此決定使學生在學習透過潛意識認識自心的基礎上，再行聽聞佛法正見，以收事半功倍、對治己心之效。

Due to my own experience of practicing and assisting people to explore and deal with their problems for more than ten years, I deeply understand that before realizing the real desire and fear of mind, it is difficult for most people to connect the Dharma with their lives even though they learned the Dharma. That’s why the Precepts, Samadhi, and Wisdom may be kept saying, but the greed, anger, and infatuation still appear in one thought after another. So I decided to make students learn the Dharma on the basis of knowing their mind through the subconscious mind so that they can yield twice the result with half the effort on cultivating their mind.

又者，坊間即使有從事潛意識教導認識自我的團體，但倘背後無智慧蘊涵的厚實基礎，亦難持續幫助學習者解決層出不窮的生命困境。"佛陀"乃完全覺悟者，佛法乃諸佛菩薩悲憫眾生、欲使眾生離苦得樂而開演的方法，故而本人在本團體的教學，是以佛法智慧為根本，並將佛法，以深入淺出、活潑生動的現代語彙方式，於學生的每月功課日常生活歷事中，應機展開教授指導，如此使學生學習佛法、運用佛法，達到生活與修行真正結合。

In addition, although there are groups engaging in teaching people to know themselves through the subconscious mind, it is difficult to assist learners to solve their sufferings of life which emerge in an endless stream constantly if there is no solid foundation of wisdom behind the helper. The “Buddha” is the one who have completely enlightened, and the Dharma is the method from the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas who compassionate sentient beings and want to save beings from suffering and gain happiness. Therefore, my teaching pattern in this group bases on the Dharma wisdom and interpret the profound theories in simple language with vivid and modern vocabularies. And through students’ monthly homework where they will record their undergoing in daily lives, the teaching and guidance will be given according to the learners’ foundation and the chances on the spot so that the students learn the Dharma and practice it, and really combine the Dharma with their lives.

第　二　條　本會為依法設立、非以營利為目的之社會團體，本會之緣起及宗旨如下：

Article II   The Association is organized in accordance with laws as a non-profit social community with the following objectives:

一、緣起：自十多年前，一群想學習覺知自心、調伏自心、利己利他的人們，有緣向段貞夙老師學佛至今，回顧過往，眾人對於自心的覺知與調伏能力漸長，使得煩惱漸輕、生命視野提升，故而眾人在段貞夙老師的帶領下，期盼將佛法中「知足」、「簡樸」、「內省」、「修心」、「感恩」、「利他」等精神，分享予更多人，使得佛法得以從落實於生活中而根植人心、傳揚住世，讓更多人能因佛法而得到自在與安樂，故而創辦成立本會。

i) The Origin of the Association:  Since more than ten years ago, a group of people who wanted to learn how to be aware of and tame their mind to benefit themselves and others. These people have learned the Dharma from Teacher Susan Duan so far, in retrospect, everyone’s ability of being aware of and taming their mind gradually progressed. Also, it makes their vexations gradually reduced and their horizons broaden. Therefore, under the leadership of Teacher Susan Duan, everyone hopes to share the spirit of “Contentment”, ”Simplicity”, ”Introspection”, ”Practice”, “Thanksgiving” and “Altruism” in Buddhism with more people. To make the Dharma rooted in the mind of people from implementing in lives, spread and stay long in the world so that more and more people can gain freedom, peace and happiness, the Association was founded.        

二、宗旨：以佛法正見為經、以誠實覺知、修正己心為緯，貫穿所有會務活動。以學習佛法正見及觀念精神為本會之體，以歷事練心的社會公益服務活動為本會之用，總說亦即「八正道」---正見、正思惟、正語、正業、正命、正精進、正念、正定，使經論書本上的文字，不只是深奧理論或口頭形式，而是成為能與個人生活真實地結合的心靈指南，學中做、做中學，聞思修次第而進、循環不偏，真正實踐「佛法在世間、不離世間覺」。

  ii) The Purpose of the Association: To run through all the Association affairs with right understanding from the Dharma and cultivating our mind with honest awareness. To learn right understanding from the Dharma, concepts and spirit as the substance of the Association; to engage in social welfare activities which make our members cultivate their mind through undergoing things as the function of the Association. Overall, that are “the Noble Eightfold Path”---Right Understanding, Right Aim, Right Speech, Right Behavior, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness, Right Meditation. The aim is to make the texts on the Sutra books not only be profound theories or the oral forms but also the mind guidance combined with personal life, learn by doing and compliant with the order of Listen, Reflect and Practice in an endless cycle without deviation to achieve the goal of “The Buddha Dharma exists for the world, apart from the world, there is no enlightenment.”  

取名為「清淨」，因為眾生本具與佛無二無別的法性，清淨無染，圓滿無缺，猶如虛空不受雲霧煙霞破壞其本質，以此二字惕勵吾輩，雖吾輩現為凡夫，但只要勵力矢志依佛所授修習不斷，必能調伏自心、斷除煩惱，終歸同體清淨之本來面目。

  The reason the Association was named “Pure” is that all the beings originally have the Dharma nature as same as the Buddha, and the Dharma nature is pure and perfect like the nature of the emptiness of the sky wouldn’t be broken by cloud, mist and fog. Therefore, the word, ”Pure”, is used to inspire us that although we are ordinary beings now, if we are determined to continuously practice what the Buddha taught us, we must be able to tame our mind and eliminate all of our afflictions. Eventually, we can turn back to the originally pure nature.
